Lucky Leaps
In this DIY obstacle course, the goal is to get to the other side of the house (ahem, Green Milk Lake, that is), by only stepping on rainbow-colored safe zones. As an added challenge, use your phone’s stopwatch to see who can do it the fastest or set new “world records!”
Supplies
- Construction Paper
- Markers
- Tape
Steps
- Lay out construction paper on the floor (or on tables, chairs, and countertops if you really want to get daring). Pro Tip: Make sure to tape each piece down so nobody slips and falls. You can also use pillows or cushions, to create an even softer landing.
- See how long it takes for your kids to complete the course. If they fall off the safe zones, they have to start all over!
- As an added twist, you can make any green items or furniture in the house also count as a safe zone. If you have a green couch, they can jump on that. Or if there’s a green curtain, touching that keeps them safe, too.
- What’s waiting for them at the end of the course? A bowl of Lucky Charms, of course!
